Booking Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Step Climb Adventures! By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation.

  1. Booking and Payment:
  • Deposit: A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking. This deposit must be paid within 7 days of receiving your booking confirmation.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled at least 30 days prior to departure. For last-minute bookings (within 30 days of departure), full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard). Please note that bank transaction fees may apply and are the responsibility of the client.
  • Pricing: All tour prices are quoted in US dollars. Step Climb Adventures reserves the right to adjust prices due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates, fuel surcharges, government-imposed taxes, or unforeseen operational costs. Any price changes will be communicated in advance.
  1. Cancellation Policy:
  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
  • Cancellation fees apply as follows:
    • More than 90 days prior to departure: 15% cancelation fee.
    • 60-89 days prior to departure: 30% of the total tour cost.
    • 30-59 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour cost.
    • Less than 30 days prior to departure: 100% of the total tour cost.
  • Airline ticket cancellation policies are separate from our own and subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.
  • No refunds will be issued for unused services or no-shows.
  1. Travel Documents:
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport (with at least six months validity beyond the return date), necessary visas, and required health documents.
  • Step Climb Adventures may provide guidance on visa requirements but is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete documentation.
  1. Liability:
  • Step Climb Adventures is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
    • Force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, government restrictions).
    • Actions of third-party suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, or transportation providers.
    • Client negligence or failure to comply with local laws and regulations.
  • We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and other unforeseen circumstances.
  1. Itinerary Changes:
  • Step Climb Adventures reserves the right to modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, park regulations, or safety concerns.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements that ensure clients’ safety and satisfaction.
  1. Health and Safety:
  • Clients must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
  • Some activities may require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Clients are responsible for assessing their own fitness levels before participating.
  • We recommend consulting a healthcare professional regarding vaccinations and other travel health precautions before traveling to Tanzania.
  1. Travel Insurance:
  • Mandatory: All clients are strongly advised to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.
  • Step Climb Adventures is not responsible for any costs incurred due to a lack of travel insurance.
  1. Governing Law:
  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in Tanzanian courts.
  1. Client Responsibility:
  • Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. Step Climb Adventures is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
  • Clients are expected to respect local customs, laws, and environmental regulations during their travels.
  • Clients must behave in a respectful manner towards fellow travelers, staff, and the general public. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the tour without refund.
