Itinerary
You’ll leave Arusha early in the morning and drive toward the green hills of Marangu. Once you arrive, your day starts with a guided walk through the village to the beautiful Ndoro Waterfalls. You’ll walk along small forest trails, pass banana and coffee farms, and enjoy the sounds of nature as you reach the falls.
After your time at the waterfall, you’ll visit a local home or coffee farm for a traditional coffee-making tour. You’ll join the farmers in roasting and grinding beans while learning how coffee is grown in the area. Then, enjoy a warm cup of Chagga coffee. A homemade local lunch will be served, usually including banana dishes, vegetables, and seasonal fruits.
Later in the day, you’ll visit the ancient Chagga caves and learn about the tribe’s rich history and how they used the caves during past conflicts. After the cultural tour, you’ll head back to Arusha, arriving in the evening with a heart full of culture and fresh mountain air.
